Event description
Join the Nevada District Office for a webinar on HUBZone Certification. This series is presented in collaboration with SBA’s resource partners the Nevada Women Business Center and APEX Accelerator. We will discuss the program benefits, program qualifications, the HUBZone map; and how to get certified as a HUBZone small business and how to maintain the certification.
SBA’s HUBZone Program is designed to provide economic assistance to economically depressed geographic areas by awarding federal contracts to small businesses that operates and employ workers on those historically underutilized business zones.
- Federal agencies have a goal of awarding at least 3% set aside of federal contracts to HUBZone- certified small business.
- Small businesses invest in and hire employees from qualified HUBZone designated areas.
- Undercapitalized communities' benefit from job opportunities and investment.
